Job summary

Hitachi Energy in North Carolina is seeking a leader for transport and logistics tied to large-scale grid projects. You will own end-to-end processes from tender budgeting to executing complex, global shipments, with emphasis on heavy-lift handling of equipment weighing hundreds of tons.

You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to meet safety, cost, and schedule targets, ensuring compliant, on-time deliveries and continuous improvement across global projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy-lift transport and shipping, cargos exceeding 200 tons.
• Background in transformer sourcing or equivalent heavy items logistics.
• End-to-end involvement from tendering through execution and delivery.
• Strong coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own transport and logistics planning across projects.
• Define requirements and set transport budgets during tendering.
• Execute complex global shipments for project delivery.
• Coordinate heavy-lift shipments with lifting, securing, and handling.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safe, timely deliveries.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce risks and improve performance.
