Job summary

Formlabs seeks an Head of IT to lead a global team responsible for network, systems, security, and user support across multiple international sites. Based in Somerville, MA, this onsite role drives the strategy, execution, and day-to-day operations of critical infrastructure and security programs.

You will shape the roadmap, manage budgets, and supervise a hands-on team delivering reliable enterprise services, while partnering with executives to align IT with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and/or security.
• 2+ years leading teams; multi-site/global experience preferred.
• Hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, VPNs, firewalls, and server virtualization.
• Experience building or running a security program including incident response and vulnerability management.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business decisions for executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team across network, systems, help desk, and cybersecurity.
• Own Cisco Meraki estate, SD-WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and remote access.
• Define and drive a combined infrastructure and security roadmap for reliability and cost balance.
• Oversee on-prem Proxmox compute, patching, monitoring, backups, and DR planning.
• Own Formlabs' cybersecurity program end-to-end: policies, risk, EDR, IAM, and audits.
• Manage staffing models and vendor relationships; ensure clear SLAs and build/buy decisions.
• Own identity and access controls, MFA, and admin hygiene across core SaaS.
