Job summary

Formlabs in Boston seeks a leader to own the evolution of its printer cybernetics nervous system. You will guide embedded, electrical, and systems teams to deliver high-performance, scalable hardware platforms that power our next-generation 3D printers.

You’ll champion fast, data-driven iteration and cross-functional collaboration with product and software teams. You will shape a modular architecture, scale teams globally, and push technical boundaries to deliver reliable, world-class devices

Qualifications

• Experience shipping electromechanical products from prototype to high-volume production (100,000+ units).
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performance teams.
• Strong business sense with customer focus and execution orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded engineering, systems integration, and electrical engineering globally.
• Drive performance breakthroughs to push printer capabilities beyond conventional limits.
• Create modular architecture (main boards, chipsets, peripherals) that scales across the ecosystem.
• Iterate rapidly from concept to working prototype, delivering impactful product outcomes.
