Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Head of Technical Operations to lead a global TechOps team responsible for reliable, secure IT across sites. You will own the network, on-premise servers, endpoints, IT service desk, identity management, and the security program, reporting to the CIO.

You will supervise a 7-person team across network, systems, help desk, and cybersecurity, and collaborate with office operations in Somerville, Germany, Budapest, and Shenzhen.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and/or security, with 2+ years leading teams.
• Hands-on enterprise networking, server virtualization, and security.
• Experience building or running a security program with limited dedicated staff.
• Ability to translate technical risk into business decisions for executives.
• Familiarity with IT governance and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global TechOps team delivering reliable, secure IT across sites.
• Define and drive infrastructure and security strategy and roadmaps.
• Oversee on-premises and cloud mix, DR, backups, and resilience.
• Own security program, policy, and incident response playbooks.
• Manage vendors, contracts, renewals, and budgeting.
• Ensure end-user support and onboarding/offboarding effectiveness.
