Job summary

Hiya is seeking a senior leader to direct Forward Engineering, guiding engineers and solutions architects across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. You will shape the distribution platform, ensure reliable live integrations, and collaborate with sales and product teams to meet customer needs.

You will manage both production-code teams and customer-facing engineers, owning platform costs and incident responses, while driving the roadmap with executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in customer-facing technical roles, with at least 4 leading engineers and managers.
• Built and led a forward deployed, solutions, or customer engineering organization at a B2B platform company; hired its leaders and set its operating model.
• Led both production-code engineers and customer-facing engineers, managing them differently.
• Owned a platform or integration used by many customers, including on-call, incident response, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow forward deployed engineering and solutions architecture across the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
• Own the distribution platform: hosted gateways for APIs, SDKs for distribution, and tooling for rapid adaptation to customer networks.
• Own reliability and cost to serve of every live integration, and set on-call and incident models.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to align customer needs with the product roadmap.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success across the full deal lifecycle, from pre-sales to launch and expansion.
• Hire, coach, and develop managers and senior engineers, upholding quality and customer trust.
• Set the department’s strategy and operating plan, including headcount and budget.
• This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in the Seattle office; travel 30–40%.
