Job summary

State Street Markets is seeking a Global Head of FPS Operations to lead the operational infrastructure for financing and portfolio solutions worldwide. You will direct a 250-person global team across major centers, setting governance, controls and end-to-end post-trade services.

The role drives transformation, modernizes processes with technology partners, and coordinates with risk, compliance and corporate functions to deliver scalable, resilient operations and robust regulatory programs.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in capital markets, ideally across operations, risk, finance or related functions.
• Proven track record leading large, global teams and building high-performing organizations.
• Deep expertise across financing and portfolio solutions operations, including securities lending, prime services, secured financing/repo, collateral management, liquidity solutions, and associated post-trade operating models.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale transformation and change initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong commercial judgment, strategic problem-solving skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
• Attention to detail with an ability to look critically at a problem and propose solutions
• Travel up to 10% may be required

Responsibilities

• Lead the global operations organization, including 250 professionals across regions, ensuring consistent delivery, strong governance, and a risk-excellent operating culture.
• Drive transformation and modernization, partnering with technology, business and risk teams to ensure scalable, automated, future-state processes.
• Strengthen controls by embedding industry best practices, improving resiliency, reducing operational risk, and protecting the firm from financial or reputational harm.
• Deliver seamless and efficient post trade operational support, including confirmations, settlement, clearing, and data management.
• Oversee applicable vendors and third-party relationships, ensuring service delivery meets required standards, including proper management of cyber risks.
• Optimize the operating model and cost base to support scalability, efficiency, business growth, and global consistency.
• Attract, develop, and retain key talent, building a high-performing, inclusive global team with strong succession planning and leadership depth.
• Lead the execution of key regulatory, governance and corporate initiatives, including Regulatory Reporting, Data Governance and Model Risk.
