Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Global Head of Child Safety Operations within the Trust & Safety Team to lead a global group that detects and removes child safety content at scale. You will partner with Legal, Policy, Product, and government relations to manage urgent escalations and investigations, guiding strategic programs and reporting results to executives.

You will drive process improvements, optimize workflows, and set performance metrics to protect users while balancing product growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Trust and Safety issues with an emphasis on child safety, including online abuse.
• Minimum 5+ years of management experience leading operational and cross regional teams.
• Experience in handling Law Enforcement Child Safety investigations and engaging with Law Enforcement.
• Experience in reviewing or being exposed to sensitive content as part of removal flows calibrations and escalations management.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and devising team strategies.
• Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams, with senior stakeholders and executives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of Child Safety Leads and Specialists, ensuring daily operational effectiveness, setting goals and monitoring wellness.
• Coach/mentor team members and develop plans for their professional growth.
• Lead and manage escalations of child safety requests, including from law enforcement, coordinating with Legal, Policy, Product, Government Relations and Law Enforcement Operations.
