Argo Group in Chicago/US market seeks a Senior VP, Group Head of Ceded Reinsurance to lead global strategy for risk transfer and capital management. You will drive treaty and facultative purchasing, governance, and relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and regulators.

The role reports to executive leadership, advising on market developments and capital deployment while ensuring regulatory compliance and enterprise-wide consistency across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Fifteen-plus years of progressive insurance and reinsurance experience.
• Demonstrated success leading global or enterprise-wide reinsurance functions.
• Strong understanding of property & casualty reinsurance, capital management, and governance.
• Experience interacting with executive leadership, Boards, regulators, and rating agencies.

Responsabilités

• Lead enterprise ceded reinsurance strategy and capital management.
• Oversee treaty and facultative placement activities and renewals.
• Advise executive leadership on risk transfer, earnings stability, and capital deployment.
• Build executive relationships with global brokers, reinsurers, and capital providers.
• Ensure SOX controls, governance, and regulatory reporting across jurisdictions.
