Job summary

Clearbrook Holdings Inc. seeks a Senior Vice President, Group Head of Ceded Reinsurance to lead the global ceded reinsurance function, set enterprise risk transfer strategy, and oversee capital management, including treaty and facultative purchasing.

You will partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Risk Management, and Compliance to align governance with business objectives. The role advises executive leadership and boards on market developments and counterparty risk, and leads a team

Qualifications

• Fifteen-plus years of progressive insurance and reinsurance experience.
• Significant experience in ceded reinsurance purchasing, treaty structuring, facultative placements, and capital management.
• Experience interacting with executive leadership, Boards, regulators, rating agencies, and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of property & casualty insurance, treaty and facultative reinsurance, alternative capital structures, regulatory frameworks, solvency and capital management, reinsurance accounting and financial reporting, SOX and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise ceded reinsurance strategy and capital management across all geographies and lines of business.
• Provide executive oversight of treaty and facultative placement activities and renewal strategies.
• Ensure consistency of reinsurance program design while balancing local needs and enterprise objectives.
• Oversee submission materials, negotiation strategies, and placement execution.
• Guide complex coverage structures, contract language, and market negotiations.
• Review major placement outcomes and approve material transactions prior to execution.
• Govern governance over ceded reinsurance systems, documentation, and reporting.
