The role oversees treaty and facultative purchasing, regulatory compliance, and relationships with brokers and reinsurers, reporting to executive leadership and Boards. Based in New York City or Chicago with an emphasis on enterprise-wide governance.

Qualifications

• Fifteen-plus years of progressive insurance and reinsurance experience.
• Significant experience in ceded reinsurance purchasing, treaty structuring, facultative placements, and capital management.
• Experience interacting with executive leadership, Boards, regulators, rating agencies, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise reinsurance strategy and capital management.
• Oversee placement activities including treaty structures and market approaches.
• Advise executive leadership regarding risk transfer, earnings volatility, and capital deployment.
• Establish executive-level relationships with global brokers, reinsurers, and industry bodies.
• Ensure governance, regulatory compliance, and reporting across jurisdictions.
