Job summary

Adobe seeks a Head of External Reporting and Technical Accounting, ESG Controller to join our finance leadership team. This highly visible, critical role will report to the Senior Director, Global Accounting, Reporting and Revenue Assurance and lead our External Reporting & Equity Accounting, Technical Accounting, and ESG Regulatory Reporting teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance/Accounting with active CPA license.
• 15+ years of experience including Big 4 and Fortune 500 controllership.
• Deep GAAP/SEC reporting knowledge and technical accounting expertise.
• Experience guiding M&A accounting, deal structures and due diligence.
• Proven leadership of 7+-person teams and strong cross-functional partnering.
• Experience with ESG reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the external reporting team on drafting and filing financial documents and SEC filings.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations and senior leaders to review earnings materials.
• Serve as technical accounting advisor for complex transactions and policy updates.
• Assess impact of new pronouncements and provide trainings to stakeholders.
• Own the global consolidated audit process to resolve issues and avoid delays.
• Advise on accounting treatment for potential deals and investments.
• Manage end-to-end financial due diligence for M&A transactions.
• Monitor ESG reporting landscape and applicability of new regulations.
• Build capabilities in people, processes, controls, and systems for ESG reporting.
• Coordinate assurance over ESG disclosures with external firms when required.
• Support voluntary ESG reporting and align with corporate priorities.
• Develop and mentor the team to reach development goals.
