Job summary

Adobe seeks a Head of External Reporting and Technical Accounting, ESG Controller to join our finance leadership team in California. This high-visibility role leads External Reporting, Technical Accounting, and ESG Regulatory Reporting, and manages the full M&A accounting cycle from deal structure to reporting integration.

You will partner across Revenue, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, CSR and Employee Experience to ensure SEC/GAAP compliance and robust governance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance/Accounting with active CPA license.
• 15+ years of relevant experience including Big 4 public accounting and global Fortune 500 experience.
• Deep understanding and application of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Technical accounting expertise in business combinations, treasury activities, share-based compensation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the external reporting team on drafting and filing all financial documents and SEC filings.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations, Corporate Legal and senior leaders to review earnings documents in a clear, understandable way.
• Serve as trusted technical accounting advisor for complex transactions and policy updates.
• Assess impact of proposed accounting pronouncements and provide trainings to stakeholders.
• Own the global consolidated audit process to resolve issues and avoid delays.
• Advise on accounting treatment for potential deals and strategic investments including M&A.
• Coordinate end-to-end financial due diligence for M&A transactions.
• Monitor ESG regulatory reporting landscape and applicability of new rules globally.
• Build capabilities in people, processes, controls, and systems for ESG reporting.
• Coordinate assurance over ESG disclosures with external firms when required.
• Support voluntary ESG reporting with cross-functional teams.
