Job summary

Egnyte is seeking a highly analytical Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Reporting to lead our technical accounting, reporting, payroll, equity, and revenue functions. You will manage a multidisciplinary team and act as the primary technical accounting resource for the company.

You will own the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, collaborate with FP&A, Legal and Deal Desk, and guide audits and system migrations while driving new accounting standards initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required; Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, ASC 606.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Carta, Salesforce.
• Proven track record of managing and scaling accounting teams (Revenue, Equity, Payroll).
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Sales/Deal Desk, and Legal.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex accounting to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Revenue Recognition, Equity, and Payroll teams; ensure timely execution of operations.
• Own end-to-end preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements and footnotes.
• Lead technical accounting research and memo drafting for complex transactions.
• Partner with FP&A for revenue forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Collaborate with Legal and Deal Desk during contracts to ensure ASC 606 compliance.
• Manage external audits and drive the end-to-end audit process.
