Job summary

Adobe seeks a Head of External Reporting and Technical Accounting, ESG Controller to join our finance leadership team in California. This role leads External Reporting & Equity Accounting, Technical Accounting, and ESG Regulatory Reporting, and oversees the full M&A accounting cycle from deal structure through integration.

You will partner across Revenue, Tax, Legal, Investor Relations, CSR, and Employee Experience to drive standard setting, policy updates, and a robust global reporting program.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance/Accounting with active CPA license required.
• 15+ years of relevant experience including Big 4 and Fortune 500 exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead external reporting team on drafting and filing all financial documents and SEC filings.
• Coordinate with Investor Relations and senior leaders on earnings documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy of complex matters.
• Act as trusted technical accounting advisor for complex transactions and oversee policy updates for FASB/SEC rules.
• Assess impact of new pronouncements to ensure SEC/GAAP compliance and educate stakeholders.
• Own global consolidated audit process and drive timely resolutions of issues.
• Advise corporate development on accounting treatment for deals and strategic investments.
• Manage end-to-end financial due diligence for M&A transactions.
• Monitor evolving ESG reporting regulations and applicability globally.
• Build capabilities in people, processes, and controls to meet ESG reporting requirements.
• Coordinate assurance over ESG disclosures with external firms as needed.
• Support voluntary ESG reporting efforts in a collaborative manner.
• Identify annual strategic priorities aligned with Adobe’s goals.
• Develop and coach the team to achieve development goals.
