ViiV Healthcare is seeking a Senior Director, Early Development Leader to guide a global, multi-disciplinary Early Development Team from Candidate Selection through Proof of Concept to Phase 2b, delivering on development strategy, timelines, and budgets.

Based in Durham, NC or PA locations (UP, FMC, and/or UM) or Branford, CT, with domestic relocation and the option to work at GSK HQ in London, this role offers leadership across a complex HIV program and close collaboration with senior

Qualifications

• MD/DO/PhD/PharmD with clinical or research experience in Infectious Diseases.
• 5+ years of drug development experience.
• Experience in establishing and executing a drug development strategy.
• Experience in presenting scientific data to internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multi-functional global Early Development Team to deliver asset to Phase 2b.
• Direct medicine development strategy and plans from Candidate Selection through Proof of Concept.
• Interface with senior management and external stakeholders to drive strategy and project delivery timelines.
• Manage prioritisation of asset development options and budget, and participate in governance reviews.
