Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Hardware Support Technician II to manage procurement, inventory and asset workflows for pre-market consumer electronics. You will also provide hands-on hardware and software reworks, imaging and firmware update tasks, and support during events, including travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–5 years related experience
• IT-savvy and interested in new technologies
• Knowledgeable about inventory and IT inventory environment
• Capable of following technical instructions to flash drives, image devices and rewrite IDs
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and goal-oriented

Responsibilities

• Participates with inventory and asset management including receipt and disposition of hardware
• Documents all defects of pre-mass production hardware and/or software
• Performs hardware reworks (swap boards/chips, remove write-protect screws)
• Performs software reworks (imaging devices to different builds; wipe data, rewrite system hardware IDs)
• Conducts servo flashing, firmware upgrade, flashing unsigned images
• Resolves support tickets on device issues
• Provides technical support during events (travel often required)
