Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding or logistics.
• 1+ year experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Basic math for conversions and currency handling.
• Familiarity with hazmat, DOT regulations, and export/import controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and build relationships with customers’ frontline personnel.
• Prepare and submit documentation to agents and clients ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate carrier bookings and arrange pickups at various distribution centers.
• Track shipments, manage status updates, and resolve issues causing delays.
• Assist with billing, payments, and invoicing accuracy.
• Develop quotes and rates for freight movement and respond to customer inquiries.
• Input and correct data in computer systems and generate reports as needed.
