Job summary

FreightTAS LLC is seeking a Sales Executive for Freight Forwarding in New York, with a hunter mentality. The role offers a base salary of $80k and up to $100k with commissions and excellent benefits, office-based in Queens/Rosedale, NY, and mileage reimbursement on client visits.

Visa sponsorship is not available; only legally eligible candidates may apply. The candidate will prospect, generate leads, and manage relationships across Ocean and Air freight services, with a need to travel locally

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience selling Ocean and/or Air freight services.
• International Freight Forwarding experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Seek out new clients and build a book of business through prospecting and networking — cold calling, electronic media, seminars, trade shows, and in-person presentations
• Generate business leads internally and externally, secure new business and grow customer base, develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients
• Set and track sales targets, activity metrics, and other necessary KPIs to drive performance
• Meet the monthly revenue quota set by Sales Management
• Understand Asia Market and deeply knowledgeable about needs and trends.
• Present the clients full-service offering: Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Contract Logistics and Warehousing, Trucking, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage
• Maintain communication with internal teams and with overseas offices
• Travel locally for client meetings and presentations
• Other assignments may be directed by the Management
