Job summary

Buckland is seeking a Manager, Freight Forwarding & Logistics to lead the operational management and service delivery for strategic freight forwarding accounts. You will act as the primary customer contact, oversee international ocean freight operations, and coordinate with carriers and partners to ensure service commitments are met.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer contact for assigned strategic accounts.
• Oversee day-to-day international ocean import/export operations and shipment coordination.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, overseas offices, NVOCCs, drayage providers, and other partners.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, KPIs, workflows, and service standards.
• Lead customer business reviews and provide performance reporting and insights.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and service enhancement.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Customs Brokerage, Finance for integrated solutions.
• Mentor and guide team members; hire/terminate as needed.
