Job summary

Buckland is seeking a Logistics Import Specialist to coordinate documentation and advances for clearance, oversee post-clearance delivery, and ensure shipments are entered in accordance with applicable US regulations.

You will provide the highest level of customer service to clients, handle import shipments by air and ocean, collaborate with forwarders daily, ensure proof of delivery is obtained, and support billing, process improvements, and compliance across the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
• Responsible for all Import of Air & Ocean shipments.
• Work with forwarders on daily basis.
• Ensure POD is supplied.
• Expediting and tracing as required.
• Determination of profit levels and billing.
• Process required customs documentation.
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of department processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
