Job summary

Sandvik Mining & Rock is seeking a Freight Administrator for our Romeoville warehouse on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri 8:00AM-4:30PM). You will schedule carrier pickups, prepare shipping documents, and respond to customer inquiries with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires 2+ years in transportation, knowledge of a Transportation Management System, and strong communication, organization, and time management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in transportation environment (domestic and international shipments).
• Experience with a Transportation Management System.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Schedule pickups with carriers and route shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, etc.).
• Handle carrier changes and track shipments.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain freight management system data and reporting.
• Assist with warehouse administration and housekeeping.
