Job summary

Rainforest Alliance is seeking a Head of Foundations to lead our philanthropic foundation portfolio worldwide. This senior role owns strategy, donor engagement, and pipeline growth, delivering six-figure and larger multi-year commitments.

You will manage a small international team, raise the organization’s visibility, and design compelling cases and financing models for foundation funders. Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, business development or sustainable development.
• Experience securing philanthropic foundation funding, including multi-year commitments.
• Experience moving donors through a cultivation pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
• Experience leading and developing people in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver foundation fundraising strategy to grow mission-based giving.
• Build a revenue-generating portfolio of foundation accounts through outreach and new funding commitments.
• Expand and diversify the portfolio with six-figure and above multi-year commitments.
• Meet and exceed annual revenue targets and track progress in Salesforce.
