Job summary

Rainforest Alliance in the United States is seeking a Head of Foundation Relations to lead its global philanthropic foundation portfolio. You will build partnerships, secure multi-year commitments, and scale income and impact while directing a small international team across climate, development, agriculture, sustainability and food systems.

The role focuses on engaging programme officers and foundation leaders, expanding the foundation donor base, and designing innovative funding models for

Qualifications

• Experience securing philanthropic foundation funding including multi-year commitments.
• Proven ability to move donors through a cultivation pipeline and hit revenue targets.
• Experience leading people and cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of sustainability and global development market trends.
• Experience in global organizations and building strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver foundation fundraising strategy and grow a global portfolio.
• Build a revenue-generating portfolio of foundation accounts with new funding commitments.
• Expand and diversify the portfolio toward six-figure, multi-year commitments.
• Meet and exceed annual revenue targets and track progress in systems.
• Lead a small international team and coordinate cross-functional proposal efforts.
• Represent Rainforest Alliance at donor events and panels.
• Design compelling cases for support and donor collateral.
