Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking a senior fixed income manager research specialist to shape the selection and oversight of investment managers across a global open architecture platform. This role can be based in Boston, New York, or Minneapolis, leading rigorous due diligence across fixed income strategies and representing the firm with institutional clients and consultants.

Qualifications

5-7 years of manager research experience in fixed income or related field.
Deep knowledge of fixed income investing; rates, credit, securitized markets, EM debt.
CFA designation in progress or preferred; advanced finance degree preferred.
Understanding of investment processes across asset managers.
Proficiency with research platforms (Bloomberg, Aladdin, eVestment, Morningstar).

Responsibilities

Lead fixed income manager research, selection and ongoing due diligence across sub-asset classes.
Present detailed due diligence discussions with CIOs, PMs, analysts, and external firms.
Deliver evidence-based manager recommendations including hires and terminations.
Present investment ideas and portfolio reviews to institutional clients and consultants.
Support portfolio construction with internal teams; analyze duration, yield curve, sector allocation, and risk factors.
Develop and enhance quantitative screening and reporting tools to improve decision making.
