Job summary

Dartmouth Partners is assisting a global multi-asset investment manager in hiring a Strategist into its New York-based US Fixed Income group. The role focuses on macro research, relative value identification and portfolio analytics to support Portfolio Managers.

The successful candidate will bring 4–7 years of fixed income experience, strong quantitative skills, and a team-oriented mindset, with exposure to portfolio construction, risk monitoring and scenario testing.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in fixed income asset management, portfolio management, investment strategy or research.
• Strong quantitative skills with experience in relative value analysis.
• Experience in portfolio analysis/construction and stress testing.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Job description

Our client, a global multi-asset investment manager, is looking to hire a Strategist with c. 4-7 years' of relevant experience into their New York-based US Fixed Income group.

This is a growth hire hat has come about as a result of successful fundraising.

The team invests broadly across fixed income markets, including in government bonds, IG and HY corporate bonds, MBS, securitized products, leveraged loans and rates.

The purpose of this role is to support Portfolio Managers by:

• conducting macroeconomic and thematic research across US and global markets
• identifying and evaluating relative value opportunities asset classes, sectors and securities
• conducting portfolio analytics, scenario analysis and stress testing, monitoring portfolio risk exposures

This is a highly collaborative team, so the right candidate will have a team-oriented mindset as well as relevant experience in fixed income asset management, portfolio management, investment strategy or research. Strong quantitative skills are essential, as well as experience in relative value analysis, a broad understanding of fixed income and experience in portfolio analysis / construction.
