Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Director of Professional Services for AWS Industries – Global Financial Services (GFS). You will lead a team of sellers and cloud architects, driving strategy and owning the GFS ProServe P&L to deliver transformational engagements for major banks, insurers, wealth managers, and fintech clients.

You will build executive relationships with customer C‑suite leaders and collaborate with Sales, Partners, Business Development, and Solution Architect teams to close large enterprise

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional services sales experience with large GFS companies.
• 10+ years leading IT sales, service management, cloud computing, or IT Strategy.
• 5+ years leading AIML, generative or agentic AI solution sales.
• Proven cloud, consulting, or IT advisory sales or services background; credibility to sell complex, transformational IT consulting engagements.
• Strong customer relationship management capabilities, executive presence, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Track record of consulting practice leadership as a manager of managers, with direct ownership of large, high‑profile delivery engagements.
• Deep/applied industry experience in Banking/Capital Markets, Insurance, Wealth Management, Fin‑Tech.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• MS or BS in STEM fields.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and scale systems, processes, and teams across multiple lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the GFS ProServe P&L against revenue and bookings targets.
• Hire and develop a diverse team of ProServe sellers and cloud architects.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects across all GFS customer accounts.
• Oversee high‑quality delivery of customized engagements with partners and customers in GFS accounts.
• Establish executive and technical relationships with SIs, ISVs, and MSPs offering cloud‑based IT services.
• Drive joint engagements that help partners succeed in large, complex customer projects on AWS.
