Job summary

Aegon seeks a senior leader to guide the global Financial Risk Management department, shaping risk strategy across ALM, markets and demographics.

You will develop analytics, dashboards and methodologies, partner with senior stakeholders, and coach the team to address climate, liquidity and credit risk with rigorous governance.

The role is hybrid in the United States with in-office collaboration three days per week at a hub location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 12 years of risk management or financial risk experience; advanced degrees may substitute.
• In-depth knowledge of financial risk and risk analysis tools.
• Experience across ALM, derivatives, or related areas is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Define global financial risk strategy and direction.
• Embed and oversee global ALM standards and practices.
• Develop financial risk roadmap and enhance risk dashboard reporting.
• Develop and manage risk analytics, models and tools for markets and climate risk.
• Provide oversight of liquidity and credit risk and monitor risk appetite.
• Analyze risk exposures and escalate with leadership.
• Lead strategic initiatives and engage senior stakeholders.
• Coach and develop the global Financial Risk team.
