Transamerica is seeking a senior leader for Financial Risk Management to steer global risk strategy and ALM alignment. You will shape methodologies, analytics, and reporting while guiding senior stakeholders across finance, investments, and operations.

The role demands deep risk knowledge, leadership, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable decisions within a hybrid office setting in the Baltimore/Philadelphia corridor.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in risk management, financial management or related specialization.
• In-depth knowledge of financial risk and risk analysis tools.
• Knowledge across multiple business areas and related economics.
• Strong analytical and data skills.
• Ability to present and interact with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Help define global financial risk strategy.
• Embed global ALM standards of practice; provide oversight of existing global ALM practices and initiatives.
• Develop financial risk roadmap and enhance risk dashboard reporting capabilities.
• Develop and manage financial risk methodologies, analytics and tools, support measurement and monitoring of financial markets, ALM and the financial impacts of climate risk.
• Provide oversight and challenge of liquidity and credit risk exposure; including monitoring of risk appetite and key risk indicators.
• Analyze financial risk exposures and trends, draw conclusions from data and insights; determine risks to elevate or manage in collaboration with the first line.
• Serve as a financial risk subject matter expert; lead strategically important initiatives and discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Provide coaching and development support to team members and the global Financial Risk community.
