Hilo by Aktiia seeks a Financial Controller to own monthly, quarterly and annual closes across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, intercompany activity, VAT compliance and group reporting, while partnering with FP&A and external advisors.

This hands-on role emphasizes automation, AI-enabled workflows and stronger internal controls to scale finance globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, audit or financial controlling in an international setting.
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow accounting.
• Hands-on experience with monthly and annual closings across multiple entities.
• Experience with VAT, intercompany accounting and tax compliance.

Responsabilités

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual group close and consolidate across entities.
• Coordinate intercompany accounting, eliminated entries and currency translations.
• Oversee accounting activities of a small team and ensure accuracy of ledgers.
• Develop automated processes to improve reconciliations, reporting and controls.
• Support audits, provide documentation and interact with external advisors.
