Job summary

MTI is seeking an Associate Field Service Technician to travel globally, install and service advanced welding and manufacturing systems. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and automation systems and train customer personnel across diverse sites.

You’ll join a fourth-generation family-owned company in South Bend, gaining extensive hands-on training, global exposure, and opportunities to advance into engineering or global support roles.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on technical experience in manufacturing, maintenance, field service, automation, controls, electrical, or mechanical roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a bias for learning.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Travel throughout North America and internationally to install and support MTI's welding systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.
• Commission new equipment and train customer personnel.
