Job summary

KLA is seeking a Product Installation Engineer (OMD) to lead the on‑time installation and qualification of advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites worldwide. This role requires strong expertise in electronics, optics, mechanical and electro‑optical systems, with heavy travel and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, setup, calibration, documentation, and ensuring warranty sign‑off.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and electro‑optical systems.
• Experience with high‑vacuum systems strongly preferred.
• Comfort with computer systems, operating systems, and networking (Windows/Unix).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty sign‑off on newly installed tools.
• Operate independently while following documented procedures with increasing autonomy.
