Job summary

Neo4j is seeking a Director of Field Engineering and Strategy to scale the global Field Engineering organization. You will translate GTM strategy into field execution, driving capacity planning, tooling, and enablement operations while advising senior leaders on organizational design and resource allocation.

The role requires deep credibility with the field and a history of building headcount models, KPI frameworks, and cross-functional partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Sales/Revenue Ops, Field Eng leadership or GTM Strategy in enterprise software.
• Direct experience as Solutions Engineer or Field Engineer with credibility in the field.
• Advanced data manipulation and self-serve analytics; proficient in BI tools.
• Proven track record building headcount, capacity and coverage models for a technical pre-sales org.
• Strong command of GTM data infrastructure: Salesforce/CRM, BI/reporting, forecasting methodologies.
• Executive presence; able to present data-backed recommendations to CRO/VP level.

Responsibilities

• Headcount & Capacity Planning: own headcount model, coverage and planning tied to pipeline targets.
• Performance Operations & Reporting: define KPI framework, dashboards, and QBR materials.
• Strategic Planning: translate GTM priorities into Field Eng execution plans and budgets.
• Systems, Tools & Process: own tech stack requirements; standardize SE processes; AI tooling adoption.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: liaison between Field Eng, GTM Strategy, Revenue Ops, Sales, Product.
