Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Newton, MA to perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and assist lead engineers with project duties. You will help with design of systems and updating designs across market segments, with emphasis on Global Facilities.

This role requires pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree and strong communication skills. The position is full-time on-site in Newton, with potential travel and a compensation range noted.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education/technical certificate program in a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus/community or other activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner.
