Role Overview
The Global Facilities Manager is part of the Engagement and People Experience team, reporting to the VP of Engagement and People Experience. This role is responsible for overseeing facility maintenance, vendor relationships, budget management, and safety compliance across all global offices. It balances creative input on design and employee experience with operational efficiency to support company growth. The position is based at our headquarters in New York City and requires travel to various offices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facility Maintenance & Repairs: Schedule and supervise maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of building systems. Respond promptly to emergency requests.
  2. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service agreements.
  3. Safety & Environmental Compliance: Implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and maintain compliance records.
  4. Office Space Planning: Manage layouts, relocations, expansions, and coordinate infrastructure setup.
  5. Budget Management: Develop budgets, track expenses, analyze variances, and prepare financial reports.
  6. Employee Requests & Concerns: Address facility-related inquiries and provide timely solutions.
  7. Facility Inspections: Conduct inspections, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  8. Policies & Procedures: Develop and communicate operational policies and training.
  9. Inventory Management: Oversee office equipment inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage.
  10. Reception Duties: Occasionally cover front desk as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • At least 7 years of experience in facilities management or related fields.
  • Experience managing office build-outs and capital projects.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship skills.
  • Knowledge of lease management and contractual obligations.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments for project transparency.
  • Understanding of safety regulations (OSHA, building codes).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and budget management skills.
  • Independent work ethic with multitasking ability.
  • Technical knowledge of building systems; troubleshooting skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks like lifting and responding to emergencies.
Preferred Certifications
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent certification.

The salary range for this role is estimated between $86,000 and $163,000, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The position is classified as Mid-Senior level, full-time, in the Management and Manufacturing industry, located in New York, NY.
