Job summary

Darling Ingredients in Irving, TX is seeking an organized export documentation specialist to process and file shipping documents for international shipments, including bills of lading and commercial invoices. You will coordinate with data entry and logistics teams, liaise with freight forwarders and government agencies, and ensure accurate, timely documentation to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in documentation or logistics.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Outlook.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret basic business documents.
• Ability to perform basic math with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to define problems, gather data, and take action with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes essential shipping documents for international shipments.
• Communicates workload, requirements and issues with the team.
• Liaises between data entry and logistics to ensure complete information.
• Provides shipment details to customers and updates documents as requested.
• Responds to inquiries about document status with timely communication.
• Inputs shipping data into the ACE/AES system from invoices and packing lists.
• Serves as liaison between clients, freight forwarders, carriers, and USDA.
• Resolves documentation or filing errors as needed.
• Performs other duties to support export documentation operations.
