Job summary

Andes Global Trading, LLC is seeking an Export Documentation Specialist to manage end-to-end international shipping documents and ensure shipments cross borders legally and on time. You will handle cargo tracking and respond to customer queries about deliveries.

The role requires strong English/Spanish language skills, experience with EEI filings, and knowledge of HS codes and export documentation in food trading. A fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in International Business, Logistics or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of export documentation experience in food trading with temperature-controlled shipments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; written and spoken.
• Solid knowledge of export documentation requirements in trading and supply chain.
• Understanding of meat product import requirements in Caribbean, South and Central America.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, audit, and process key shipping documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Bills of Lading.
• Submit EEI filings into ACE/AES or foreign equivalents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, trucking companies, overseas agents, and government agencies.
• Apply HS codes and proper valuation for goods.
• Screen for denied or restricted party lists before document release.
• Maintain meticulous records for audits and post-shipment proof.
• Troubleshoot documentation errors and inform clients about shipment status.
