Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Glastonbury, CT is seeking an Export Control Manager to lead compliance with U.S. and international export controls and related regulatory requirements.

You will provide subject matter expertise, support licensing determinations, classifications, and training across a global operations network, reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance. This role requires on-site work five days a week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of operational experience in export control or related regulatory function.
• Substantive knowledge of export controls, licensing, sanctions and screening.
• Experience supporting licenses, classifications, investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Formal regulatory training or compliance certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote the MHI Global Code of Conduct and model ethical compliance.
• Provide SME on U.S. and international export controls and regulatory expectations.
• Guide operations on classifications, licensing, end-use reviews, and screening.
• Prepare export license applications and related government disclosures.
• Conduct due diligence, reviews, audits and corrective actions as directed.
• Coordinate and manage compliance training programs with leadership.
• Mentor staff on export control requirements and company policies.
• Develop and improve internal controls, policies and processes.
• Identify compliance risks and support timely corrective actions.
• Monitor laws and best practices; interface with regulators as needed.
• Support broader global trade compliance activities.
