Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Export Agent for our JFK Team in New York to coordinate the movement of export shipments. You will be the main contact between customers, customs brokers, and shipping carriers to ensure smooth processing.

The role requires the ability to negotiate, review documentation for tariffs, and manage charges. You will collaborate with a global team to maintain high service levels and comply with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year related export experience.
• 1–2 years of CargoWise experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with domestic customers as intermediary for foreign customers to reach mutual agreements.
• Open a file for each shipment in the dedicated software system; examine invoices and manifests for tariff/compliance; contact customs to release freight.
• Receive freight, documentation, and way billed charges; assess charges and collect fees.
