Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional work experience in international education, student affairs, multi-cultural affairs, academic advising, or related field. Master’s degree can substitute for the one year of professional work experience.
• Effective listening and mentoring skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills are essential.
• Experience studying, living, working, or volunteering abroad, extensive international travel for other purposes may be considered.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.)

Responsibilities

• The Coordinator provides comprehensive support by helping students select and prepare for global learning experiences.
• Responsibilities include serving as a resource to students, parents, and the University community on programs, policies, and procedures; promoting opportunities and guiding students through program and scholarship applications; and coordinating with partners to develop and implement programs.
• This position is part of a team and reports to the Director of Global Experiences Office, but also works with one or more academic colleges as a liaison or embedded staff member.
