Job description

This role manages the international student pipeline from inquiry through enrolled student and supports international student retention through coordination of the International Friendship Program — UNK’s primary vehicle for international student belonging and community connection — and through planning and execution of international student programming and events. Belonging and community connection are well-established predictors of student persistence. UNK Global has not had the staffing capacity to collect international‑specific retention data; this position restores the capacity to do that work and begin tracking it. This position will process international applications. It will also provide student support by coordinating the International Friendship Program and other programming opportunities throughout the calendar year.

Bachelor's degree, 1 year of related experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard database or CRM software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in data entry and record management
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (international studies, communication, education, business, or related).

Three years of experience.

  • Working with international students or in a cross‑cultural setting
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Slate, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Experience in student services, admissions, or enrollment management
  • Proficiency in data entry, reporting, or basic data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs or events involving diverse participants
  • Conversational proficiency in a second language
