Job summary

Bank of China in New York seeks an HR professional to support expatriate management, payroll adjustments on arrival and ongoing status tracking. You will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and staff data, while ensuring compliance with local regulations and HO guidance.

The role requires 1–3 years in HR, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English and Mandarin. This is a full-time position based in New York with cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in HR Management or related areas.
• At least 1–3 years of HR experience required.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is a must.

Responsibilities

• Expatriate Management 90% of the role, including recruiting, onboarding, promotions, transfers and returns.
• Review and update expatriate policies and procedures in line with HO guidance.
• Monitor expatriate turnover and demands; coordinate events and training.
• Adjust expatriates’ salary and compensation on arrival and after position changes.
• Maintain expatriates’ legal status in the U.S. and assist with visas and renewals.
• Coordinate with HO and maintain HR systems for expatriate projects.
• Create business reports and keep data/records updated.
