Job summary

Bank of China in New York invites a motivated HR Associate to coordinate recruitment, onboarding, background checks and related projects in a fast-paced banking environment.

You will support policy implementation, conduct full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, training and employee relations activities, and collaborate with Payroll and outside counsel as needed. Bachelor's degree required; bilingual Mandarin/English preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Internship experience in HR or relevant fields preferred.
• Knowledge of Employment law/EEOC requirements, Financial/ Banking Industry, Employment Benefit and Compensation, Training & Development Processes preferred.
• SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP/SPHR/PHR/other HR certifications preferred.
• Possess capability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in verbal and writing are required. Bilingual ability in Mandarin and English is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including posting, sourcing and interviewing.
• Plan and deliver training and development programs.
• Conduct new hire onboarding and maintain personnel records.
• Manage employee termination processes and exit interviews.
• Assist investigations and resolutions of employee relations issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws.
• Coordinate DEI initiatives and reporting.
• Administer employee mobility, transfers and off-boarding.
• Participate in ad hoc bank-wide projects.
