Job summary

Lallemand Biofuels & Distilled Spirits seeks an experienced Global Enzyme Manager to shape and execute the global enzyme strategy. You will bridge R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to identify opportunities and transform innovations into commercial solutions supporting long-term growth.

You will lead collaboration with CMOs and external partners, develop techno-economic models, and guide projects from concept to commercialization in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a relevant scientific discipline is required.
• 7-10 years of experience in enzyme development or related fields.
• Experience leading cross-functional product development from concept to commercialization.
• Experience collaborating with CMOs and external partners.
• Experience performing techno-economic analyses and business case development.
• Experience working with global commercial, operations, and technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of enzyme categories, R&D, testing, and manufacturing.
• Ability to drive projects from concept to implementation with field engagement.
• Advanced MS 365 skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop enzyme product targets globally by translating market insights into commercialization priorities.
• Bridge R&D, manufacturing, and commercial teams to drive enzyme development strategies.
• Evaluate manufacturing options and model investment needs for product requirements.
• Perform mass balance and develop techno-economic models to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful product launches and market adoption.
• Support customers and sales with commercial expertise and participation in meetings and trials.
• Build and maintain product development roadmaps and project priorities.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to identify opportunities.
• Present updates and strategies to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support IP development through invention disclosures and patent evaluations.
• Represent the company at events domestically and internationally.
