Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an experienced energy procurement leader to guide North American energy sourcing for semiconductor manufacturing. You will negotiate PPAs, VPPAs, ESAs, and diverse energy contracts, balancing market dynamics with sustainability goals and corporate growth.

The role requires 7+ years in energy procurement, strong financial modeling, and the ability to influence senior leaders. You will collaborate across Legal, Finance, Sustainability, Facilities, Government Affairs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, energy management or related field.
• 7+ years in energy procurement, energy origination, utility management, power marketing, energy development, commodity sourcing or related fields.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Solid understanding of electricity markets, utility frameworks, and energy supply agreements.
• Demonstrated financial modeling and commercial analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication, collaborator management, and negotiation skills; ability to responsibly use AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead PPAs, VPPAs, ESAs, and utility agreements.
• Negotiate first-of-a-kind agreements with utilities, developers, independent power producers, and government partners.
• Evaluate regulated/deregulated market opportunities, tariffs, transmission constraints, and infrastructure investments.
• Build financial models and arguments supporting procurement decisions, portfolio optimization, and risk management.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Sustainability, Facilities, Government Affairs, and Site Leadership to advance energy initiatives.
• Develop executive recommendations supporting major sourcing decisions and long-term energy strategy.
