Job summary

SC Johnson is seeking a Director of Global Employee and Labor Relations to shape and lead worldwide ER and LR strategies. You will guide a global team, advise senior leaders, and oversee investigations and labor relations activities to ensure compliance with laws and corporate values.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytics, and cross-cultural leadership in a multinational manufacturing environment. Domestic travel up to 10% and a hybrid work arrangement are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience with employee and labor relations responsibilities.
• Experience advising leaders and managing complex, sensitive ER/LR matters and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment and labor law and country-specific requirements.
• Experience with both union and non-union environments and handling grievances.

Responsibilities

• Develop and guide a globally focused employee and labor relations support model across facilities and global functions.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of ER professionals; set priorities and ensure high-quality service.
• Provide counsel to senior leaders, HRBP, and site leadership on complex ER/LR matters and risk.
• Oversee investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns with rigor and confidentiality.
• Coach local leadership to maintain positive work environments; address workplace climate risks.
• Build a global network of ER partners, standards, and tools for compliant support.
