Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead and scale its global embedded software organization for automotive energy systems. You will drive a platform-oriented transition, enforce ASPICE/ISO 26262/21434 standards, and deliver scalable software across programs from SOP to field performance.

Role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional integration, and supplier governance, with CI/CD and MiL/SiL/HiL testing as core capabilities. Hybrid work arrangement in a global team.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of embedded software engineering in automotive environments
• 5+ years of leadership leading engineering organizations
• Experience scaling globally across regions and cultures
• Proven track record delivering embedded software for automotive programs (SOP and field)
• Strong background in battery management systems or LV-energy systems
• Deep understanding of ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434
• Experience with safety-critical software (ASIL C/D)
• Experience with software platforms, modular architectures, reuse and variant management
• Strong embedded system architecture and cross-functional integration
• Industrializing software: release and configuration management
• Experience with modern development environments (CI/CD, automated testing) and toolchains
• Proven ability to hire and develop engineering teams
• Experience in Tier 1 suppliers or OEMs

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the global software engineering organization
• Integrate software teams into a unified global unit
• Drive software delivery across automotive programs and platforms
• Enforce software processes and governance per ASPICE/ISO standards
• Develop and introduce software platforms with configuration and lifecycle management
• Operate modern development environments including CI/CD and tests
• Define and track software KPIs for delivery, quality, and efficiency
• Manage supplier and partner technical governance and delivery
• Ensure cross-functional integration with systems, hardware, and product management
