Job summary

Clarios seeks a Battery Management Systems Lead Engineer to coordinate development across engineering cycles, serving as the main interface to HW/SW groups and guiding the technical safety concept and BMS architecture from concept through product launch.

You will collaborate with system engineers, component teams, and customers to ensure robust requirements, planning, and traceability while adhering to ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards; a hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits await.

Qualifications

Bachelor/ Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
Solid years of professional experience in automotive control units.
Solid years of experience with automotive product development.
Solid years of experience in product development planning.
Experience or training QM tools (FMEA, Fault-Tree, 8D).
Experience in ASPICE, ISO 26262.
Experience in Vector CAN tools.
Experience JAMA, JIRA.
Knowledge of Cybersecurity

Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis: Collect, analyze, and approve the customer BMS requirements with the System Engineering and Component teams.
Lead the customer communication for review and approval; ensure baseline of requirements and reference documents.
Development planning: Plan and monitor development progress aligned with program milestones; coordinate with Engineering lead and electronics/software teams; support PM with timing, resources and cost; lead system level BMS development activities; report status in internal SDT/EDT meetings; monitor verification coverage.
Customer Interface: Main customer interface for all BMS topics; lead customer meetings with HW/SW teams; report development status in customer meetings; support electronics-related customer needs.
Additional Interfaces: Assist in SW release processes; lead customer discussions on BMS issues; support quality processes (FTA, FMEA, 8D); support engineering and quality with customer reporting.
Manage documentation to ensure archive and traceability of requirements, standards, DFMEAs, validation reports and customer documents/communication.
Perform system analysis on design to direct BMS specific requirements and confirm HW/SW implementation.
