Job summary

Howmet Structure Systems seeks a Director of Environmental Health and Safety to provide global leadership for EHS strategy and compliance across all locations. You will drive safety metrics, regulatory adherence, and sustainable practices while engaging with senior leadership.

You will lead EHS programs, coach leaders, and ensure audits and assessments meet Howmet standards. This role requires extensive experience in EHS management and the ability to work in a matrix organization across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a Safety, Health or Environmental ABET-accredited degree required.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in EHS management, preferably with global experience.
• Strong leadership, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to drive change through a matrix organization and set clear direction.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship not available.
• Access to export-controlled items; employment may require eligibility for access.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for environmental, health and safety strategy and compliance across all global locations within the HSS business unit.
• Leads the EHS Organization within the business unit to deploy strategies protecting employees, contractors, customers, and communities.
• Develops EHS strategy, objectives, and reporting methods aligned with Howmet values and vision.
• Ensures compliance with customer and sustainability EHS requirements and represents HSS on the EHS Council.
• Leads EHS programs in a matrix organization and coaches at all levels to implement standardized practices.
• Maintains regulatory knowledge and conducts risk assessments, audits, and remediation activities across sites.
