Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Senior Director of Global Governance, Assurance & Strategy for EHS3 to define and drive the long-term strategy across Governance & Assurance, Environmental Compliance, Occupational Health & Safety, Security, Sustainability, Enterprise Risk Management, and Operational Excellence.

You will lead a global organization through Directors, Senior Managers, and regional leaders, shaping enterprise standards, risk management, and transformational initiatives to strengthen

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of global leadership in Environmental, Health & Safety, Security, Sustainability, Governance, Risk, or Compliance functions.
• Minimum 10 years leading large, multi-functional organizations.
• Proven experience developing enterprise strategy, managing significant global budgets, and leading large-scale organizational transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience influencing executive leadership and driving strategic decisions with enterprise-wide impact.
• Experience managing complex global organizations with responsibility for workforce planning, organizational design, and resource allocation across multiple business functions.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams and geographies.
• Experience with EHS management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the long-term strategy for global EHS3.
• Lead enterprise standards, governance frameworks, and transformational initiatives.
• Partner with executives to guide strategic investments.
• Oversee global EHS3 audits, risk assessments, and compliance programs.
• Develop and measure KPIs and reporting for EHS performance.
• Direct budget planning and resource allocation across regions and functions.
