Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Director of EHS - Assurance and Risk to provide enterprise-wide oversight of Environmental, Health & Safety performance across the company. The role leads global assurance strategy, drives audits, and strengthens risk management cultures across manufacturing, commercial, and distribution operations.

Responsibilities include developing a centralized EHS risk register, delivering independent insights to senior leadership, and advancing ISO 14001/45001 certification programs

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience in EHS leadership
• Experience in global, regulated industries (medical device/pharma)
• Experience leading multi-site/global audit programs
• Strong executive presence with senior leadership interactions
• Experience integrating EHS into enterprise risk management frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead global EHS assurance and audit program design and execution
• Oversee internal EHS audits across regions and business units
• Maintain and improve ISO 14001/45001 certification processes
• Identify and mitigate EHS risks across manufacturing, commercial, and distribution sites
• Develop and report clear assurance data to global leadership
• Establish CAPA processes and track effectiveness
• Train and mentor internal auditors; build a certified audit group
• Partner with regional EHS leaders to strengthen compliance frameworks
